「津軽海峡冬景色」を英訳してみました。
♪ Tsugaru Strait Winter Scenery ♪
Since I got off a night train from Ueno,
Aomori station was covered in snow
All the people on their way back north were silent,
just listening to the roaring of the sea
I also got on a ferryboat alone
Staring at seagulls that looked freezing, I was shedding tears
Ahh.. Tsugaru Strait winter scenery
“Look, that’s Tappi Point, the north end”
A stranger pointed toward it
I tried to wipe a windowpane fogged with breath,
but that was only seen dimly in the distance
Good bye my dear, now I’m going back home
The sound of the wind shakes my heart as if it tells me to cry
